HALA IN TOP 100 MOST POWERFUL ARAB WOMEN

Hala has made the list "100 Most Powerful Arab Women 2011" from Arabianbusiness.com at number 86:

"Often considered CNN’s face in the Arab world, Hala Gorani is an anchor and correspondent for the 24-hour news channel.

She has covered major news events in the Middle East, including the recent Egypt protests and has reported from every country in the region, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Jordan and the Palestinian territories.

Born in Seattle, Washington to Syrian parents, Gorani’s childhood included growing up in Paris, France, as well as some time in Algeria. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics before graduating from the renowned Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris.
